A really sad news hit the entire community of Federal University of Technology, Owerri [FUTO] as Final year Male Student named Kester Gabriel who returned to campus on Sunday after concluding his six months Industrial Training exercise decided to visit the popular Otammiri river at Ihiagwa today for a swim, but unfortunately he got drowned.

According to Information reaching Frankscope Reporters, we obtained that Kester Gabriel is a student of the department of Materials and Metallurgical Engineering (MME) under the School of Engineering and Engineering Technology (SEET), and he resides at Oxygen Lodge, Ihiagwa.

The management have indulged all students to please be careful of their activities around the Otammiri river so as to abstain from falling victim of similar fate as Gabriel.
